Who we are

St. Luke & St. Peters Church is an Episcopal Church family… Inspiring You to be personally connected with Jesus Christ, His mission, each other and our community.

A Church Family

We strive to be a family at St. Luke and St. Peter’s that mirrors the Body of Christ in Philippians 2:1-2 in which we are united in Christ, sharing in the Holy Spirit, like minded, possessing the same love, and building each other up.

“Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.” Phillipians 2:1-2

Inspiring You

This is in many ways the center piece of our mission; You! We want to the Holy Spirit to be in You and inspiring You to know God so values You that: He sent Jesus Christ to You, that Jesus Christ died for You, and that Jesus Christ rose for You. With the knowledge God wants You to be inspired to live for him.

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 1 Timothy 2:7

To be Personally Connected

Acts 2:42-47 records a church in which personal connection through the power of the Holy Spirit was so palpable that everyday new people were joining their numbers. It is through our love for one another and following Christ’s mission first in St. Cloud and then to the ends of the earth that we will create a church that personally connects with the body of Christ (with each other) and inspires us to share that connection with Jesus Christ and His Church to others.

“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47

To Jesus Christ

There is no family of God, no church, no community on mission without Jesus Christ. He truly is at the center of our lives, our church, our ministries, our mission and our relationships. St. Luke & St. Peter’s first and foremost wants You to be personally connected to the God of the universe through His Son Jesus Christ.

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31

To His Mission

Whose mission? Jesus’ mission of Course. Jesus came so that God might be personally connected to You and in turn You personally connected to him. Jesus came also that You, being connected to God through him, would be about doing what Jesus did. Jesus preached that God’s kingdom was coming, healed the sick, and cast out demons. Jesus promised that for You who believed in him, You too would do what he did and do it to the ends of the earth.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

To Our Community

God placed St. Luke and St. Peter’s Church family in the city of St. Cloud, Osceola County, Florida USA for a reason. That reason is to be Jesus in this place until he returns. This is why our church family wants to inspire You to be not just living in St. Cloud, but personally connected to it through Jesus Christ. Through You, our church family is called to serve this community, love this community, and minister Jesus’ love to this community and then to the ends of the earth.
“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-1

To Each other

When we say personally connected with each other we refer to the building of relationships that create a church in which we are all personally invested in each other and God’s vision of who we are as a Church family. Through personal connection we also want to break down every barrier that hinders authentic community and true service to Jesus Christ’s mission both personally and mission-ally throughout the world.

“…we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Ephesian 4: 15b,16
