Eucharistic Worship

When you walk into our church you will find what you might expect at a traditional church. We have pews, hymn books, robed ministers and choir members and an Altar surrounded by candles and special seating for the ministers.  But you will also find children’s activity books, an inviting family friendly environment, children’s sermons and children’s chapel.

As an Episcopal Church and a member of the worldwide Anglican communion, our worship retains the Eucharist as the center of our worship. This is why you will always see an Altar as the main focal point of the worship space. Sharing the Lord’s supper together every week is our primary act of worship. Yet also in our worship service we focus on the reading and preaching of the word of God, prayer and songs of praise. We are perfect for families looking for a family friendly church with Eucharistic centered worship

God’s Word as the focus for Christian growth and discipleship

The centrality of Holy Scriptures within the life and ministry of the individual Christian and the church body is central to our worship and our mission as a church. If our worship is intended to draw us into the Eucharist and thus receiving Christ into our bodies, we prepare for this through the receiving and preaching of God’s Word.

Every Sunday our worship service includes readings from the Gospels, the Old & New Testaments and the psalms. Our pastors open up the scriptures to us to reveal God’s word as it applies to our Christian walk, our Christian mission and life in Christ.

Our preaching is Christ centered, exegetical, Missional, and intended to motivate each of us to deeper commitment to Jesus Christ and Christian discipleship.

Family Friendly worship

We endeavor to create space for families which invite all members of the family can worship on Sunday Mornings. Our family worship service includes a Children’s sermon (The focus of which is from one of our Bible readings in church that morning) and a time for the younger kids (age 3-fifth grade) to enjoy Children’s worship in a setting particularly designed for them. In children’s worship our teachers reinforce the message of the sermon through craft, play and teaching.

Fellowship

After our services we always have refreshments for all and a space to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The ‘coffee hour’ as we like to call it is a wonderful opportunity see and met new and old friends and share our lives with one another.
